Unsuspecting Muslim nails job interview, makes recruiter’s day

PORTLAND, OR – A Muslim woman, was totally oblivious to the joy that she gave her recruiter after “she freaking killed her job interview today.”

“It’s weird because I feel like I’m not supposed to get this happy, but I also think diversity is really important, so I'm also pretty stoked.” The recruiter told us while putting party decorations up in her office.

“My bosses have been pushing me to hire more oppressed employees for the last few months and we’ve already got a veteran, a lesbian and Klu Klux Klansman so a woman of color will be a great addition to the team.” The recruiter confidently said as she poured herself a second glass of champagne.

“Most people don’t realize this, but we can’t just hire anybody that looks marginalized, they actually have to be qualified, so it’s a good thing that this candidate is because she’s exactly what we’re looking for.” The recruiter nodded between mouthfuls of cake.

The woman, who wears a hijab, is also more than just a Muslim.

“I went to Princeton, graduated with honors, and have worked in the industry for 5 years now.” The woman told us.

At press time the woman told The Millennial that she was going to decline the job offer, which was always intended to be a back-up, instead opting to accept a loan from the bank which she will use to start her own company.

"I thought the congratulations card was nice and I'll keep the bouquet of flowers though." the woman told reporters.
